DLT: Forest Bathing

Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Jenn Masse, Certified Forest & Nature Therapy Guide, for a guided forest bathing experience at the Metolius Preserve.

We will begin with a short grounding exercise to help you arrive and tune into your senses, followed by guided invitations that encourage slowing down and noticing the world around you. Along the way, there will be opportunities to share what you are observing, and we will close with a final group reflection and tea. Registration is required.

Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, which translates to "taking in the atmosphere of the forest through the senses,” forest bathing is a guided experience of slowing down and being present in a natural setting. Research over several decades has linked this practice to a wide range of benefits, including reduced stress, improved sleep, lower blood pressure and inflammation, and strengthened immune function. At its heart, forest bathing is about remembering our connection to nature, to one another, and to ourselves. This experience is suitable for most abilities and includes slow walking and periods of stillness.

Metolius Preserve North Trailhead Driving Directions:

  • Mapping apps: Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze. Important note: These mapping app links will get you to the turnoff for the Metolius Preserve North Trailhead. Follow the entrance road approximately 0.25 miles to the parking area.

  • North Trailhead Coordinates: (UTM NAD83): 604984, 4922115

  • Driving direction PDFs: in English and en Español.

North Trailhead from Sisters:
Drive 9.8 miles west of Sisters on Hwy 20/126. Take a right on Road 14 (Camp Sherman/Metolius River turnoff). Drive 2.6 miles on Road 14 until you come to a “Y.” Stay left (straight) at the “Y.” Continue on Road 1419 for another 2.2 miles until you reach a stop sign. Turn left at the stop sign onto Road 1216. Drive 1.4 miles and then take a left onto Road 600 at the large Metolius Preserve welcome sign. Drive approximately 0.25 miles to the parking area.

COCC: Responding to the Human Side of Change

Workshop Description

Even well-designed change initiatives can struggle when leaders don't understand how people experience change internally. This applied leadership lab helps participants understand the emotional, cognitive, and behavioral dynamics that shape how individuals and teams respond to change-and what leaders can do to guide transitions more effectively. Participants will explore key energy states (catabolic and anabolic), fixed versus growth mindsets, and how these influence motivation, resistance, and engagement during change initiatives. Using the SCARF Model and the William Bridges Transition Model, the lab provides practical tools for recognizing common change responses, strengthening psychological safety, and supporting teams through uncertainty. Interactive exercises focus on translating insight into workplace-ready strategies participants can apply immediately.

COCC: Women in Leadership: Breaking Through Habits That Hold Women Back

Workshop Description

Research is clear that the habits most likely to stall women's advancement are rarely about capability. They're about the deeply ingrained patterns that can limit visibility, voice, and influence at work: people-pleasing, perfectionism, over-explaining, and holding back in rooms where they fully belong. This workshop invites participants to examine the unwritten rules they have been following and begin the work of rewriting them. Attendees leave with greater self-awareness, practical strategies, and the confidence to lead on their own terms. This course is geared toward women in leadership, but open to everyone.

Vision Board Workshop

Vision Board Workshop

Join Conshy Coaching and Funky Fauna Ales for a Vision Boarding Workshop!

Visioning is one of the most powerful mindset tricks out there. Why? Because our brain is imploded with hundreds of thousands of images and data per second, so it self-selects what you care about and filters out the rest. This means that we need to consciously tell our brain what to focus on.

During this workshop, Jenn Masse, Certified Mindset and Empowerment Coach will help you realize the power of visioning, define your personal visions and affirmations for 2022, and support you as you create your vision board.

Pre-registration is recommended. Tickets are $20 online; $25 at the door.

Tickets include your first beer, all vision board materials, and a chance to win a Conshy Coaching / Funky Fauna prize pack.

COVID PRECAUTIONS: As social distancing will not be possible during the event, please continue to wear your masks while not consuming food or beverages!

It's Time to Redefine Financial Freedom. Here's how!

“Freedom”- a simple word that can cover myriad things. Something everyone wants in many aspects of their daily lives, but may not know how to obtain. Whether it’s freedom of time, from their career, from everyday stress, or financial freedom, it’s this elusive thing that everyone seems to be chasing.

Join me, on June 9th, as we dive further into the discussion around Financial Freedom and how to achieve it! And, I promise, I won’t tell you that the answer lies in joining the latest and greatest pyramid scheme… instead, I’ll give you the tools you need to redefine financial freedom so you can achieve it sooner, with less worry, fear, doubt, and aggravations!

Key things to note:

  • I (Jenn Masse) am a Certified Mindset and Empowerment Coach. I am not a Certified Financial Planner or advisor.

  • If you have specific questions regarding your financial situation, Carolyn A Humphrey, RICP®, CLF®, and Joanna Craney, ChFC® ChSNC® from Empowered Financial Strategies will be on the calls. My husband and I personally use them to help us manage our finances, and wholeheartedly recommend them!

Workshop Your Own Definition of Success

Workshop Your Own Definition of Success

Hosted by iPEC*

When setting goals, who do you look to for examples of success? Where do you find the motivation to move towards that ideal life you envision?

It makes sense on paper—that person looks successful, so you should do what they do and you’ll also be successful.

But here’s the thing: they aren’t you! You have a unique perspective, based on your individual experience, and this alone can lead to your success—whatever that means to you!

iPEC Grad and Certified Professional Coach, Jenn Masse, thought she was a “lifer” in the corporate world. She enjoyed her work and was good at it. But, something just wasn’t quite right.

After choosing to invest in herself through coach training, she experienced this shift in perspective and her definition of success became one that she alone crafted. This led her to discover other limiting beliefs and unfounded assumptions about coaching, which she’ll share during the next episode of the Energy Explorer Live Series!

Join us on Tuesday, May 25 at 10:00 AM ET (4:00 PM CEST) as Jenn sits down with iPEC Admissions Coach, Carla Greengrass, to help YOU workshop your own definition of success, and discover how to use your definition to create your ideal life.

Flip The Script, Change Your Mindset, Change Your World

Like terrain when climbing a mountain, our mindset fluctuates daily and sometimes in a single activity. For example, we might feel intimidated when we see the peak towering over our head, and even self-critical when we're gasping for breath within the first mile, to feeling a sense of joy, peace and connection at the top of the mountain, and maybe even fear when the storm clouds roll in during the returning descent.

Join Jenn Masse, Certified Professional Mindset and Energy Leadership Coach for a discussion where we explore the seven mindsets that we all navigate the world with, and how, with practice, we can start to shift these mindsets to minimize stress in a given situation.

Could opting outside be the difference in you living a stressful life or a successful life? The answer, is yes. There are six main areas of our life that, when triggered or ignored can trigger high levels of stress or anxiety. These same six areas of life, when nurtured and properly balanced, can lead to higher levels of satisfaction and success. While everyone has their unique formula to balance these six areas of their life, opting outside can help everyone minimize the impact of stressors and triggers in our life, optimizing our potential for success.
