Hi, I’m Jenn

Welcome to a coaching experience that's refreshingly different.

I'm Jenn Masse, a PCC leadership coach, trainer, and facilitator based in Sisters, Oregon. I spend my workdays helping high-performing leaders and their teams reduce overwhelm and lead without burning out, and a good chunk of my off-hours in the backcountry with a trail crew. I bring the same energy and approach to both: curiosity, straight talk, and a sense of humor when things get muddy.

Why I Became A Coach

I spent over a decade climbing the corporate ladder, and from the outside, it looked like it was working. On the inside, I was exhausted and second-guessing every decision. I kept waiting for something to change: a better boss, a reorg, or a promotion that would finally give me the autonomy to own my work. Then came the day I found myself sobbing uncontrollably in my boss's office, and I realized my success, energy, and future couldn't be in someone else's hands.

The system wasn't going to change for me, so I started with what I could control. My Energy Leadership Index results showed me where my energy was going and why I was running on empty. Getting clear on my core values helped me redefine success on my own terms instead of chasing someone else's version of it. I started a celebration journal to notice my wins, and over time I stopped waiting for someone else to tell me I was good at my job.

Then CliftonStrengths showed me something I hadn't expected: I was in the wrong field. I'm wired to take something good and make it great, and I was meant to be in a role where I could influence and develop people. That's what led me to coaching, and it's why I use these same tools with every client today.

Coaching Specialist, Industry Generalist

Before coaching, I spent over a decade in corporate roles, and I've since earned six coaching certifications, including my PCC through the International Coaching Federation. My clients include general counsel, sales executives, creative directors, school administrators, and leaders at companies like Google, Deloitte, BlackRock, Rutgers, and Unite For Her. The industries differ, but the patterns are the same: too much on your plate, a team that leans on you for everything, and no time to think.

I customize every engagement to meet the person, or team, in front of me. Regularly leaning on tools and frameworks such as the Energy Leadership Index, CliftonStrengths, Positive Intelligence, Brené Brown's Dare to Lead, and IOSM's Organizational Mindfulness Program, plus my training as a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide.

How I Coach: Mindset + Energy = Impact

Every coaching engagement and training I lead is built on one framework. Mindset is how you interpret what's happening around you. Energy is how you show up and come across to others. Impact is what changes for your team, your results, and your organization when the first two shift. And while this might sound "woo," everything you do comes back to your mindset and the energy you're bringing in the moment.

Using science-backed assessments, tools, and strategies, my clients learn to:

  • Get clear on their values and non-negotiables

  • Use their strengths on purpose

  • Let go of beliefs that stopped working

  • Handle hard conversations with confidence

  • Manage their time, stress, and energy

  • Build teams that don't depend on them for every decision

[Read more about the framework on the blog.]

Fun, Not Starchy

Who said leadership coaching and training had to be stiff? We'll work on serious things, like the conversation you've been avoiding or the habit that's wearing you down, and we'll laugh along the way. People learn better when they're relaxed, and they're more honest when the room feels human.
