T'was the Week before the Holidays…
In the spirit of the Holidays being here next week, I wrote this poem, tongue in cheek.
Adapted from “A Visit from St. Nicholas” by Clement Clark Moore, I truly hope you don’t think it’s a bore.
T’was the week before Christmas and everyone was stressing.
Getting through the holidays would certainly be a blessing.
The big man was coming, and the kids were excited.
The in-laws were coming and the adults were frightened.
The neighbors next door had a similar scene.
As they prepped for eight busy nights, they were nowhere to be seen.
Hannukah Harry and Santa himself, scratched their heads as they watched it unfold.
The meaning of the holidays were being left untold.
Oy vey said Harry, they should be celebrating the Miracle of Lights.
Ho, ho, ho, agreed Santa, there shouldn't be any fights!
On Donor, on Dasher, On Cupid, on Vixen,
Head on in and give this a fixen!
Creating their success formula is one great solution,
To reduce the stress and holiday pollution.
What drains you, what drives you is step number one.
Then creating a plan before you are done.
Last but not least remember your mindset.
It is by far your biggest asset.
